What is open for offer?

open for offer is a UK property marketplace where anyone can make an offer on any home - whether it is listed for sale or not. Every property has a public, anonymised order book showing real offers, so buyers see what they are competing against and sellers see genuine demand.

How do offers work if a home is not for sale?

You make your offer and we put it to the homeowner. They can accept, counter, or ignore it - the seller is always in control. Many homeowners who would never list will still consider the right offer.

Is open for offer free to use?

Browsing, searching, and getting a market estimate are free, with no email required until you make an offer. Sellers can test the market for free, list from 49.95 GBP a month, or choose a managed sale at 0.5-0.8% plus VAT.

How accurate are your property estimates?

Every estimate is a market estimate built from comparable sales, Land Registry sold prices and ONS property data, shown with a range and a confidence level - never a single unexplained number. Estimates are timestamped so you always know how current they are.

Do I need an estate agent to sell through open for offer?

No. You can list and manage your sale yourself, or choose a managed sale where we match you with a vetted local agent. Either way, offers arrive through the same transparent order book.
